Sakurada, a city in California, USA.
Although the town is blessed with a sunny West Coast climate, in recent years it has been plagued by the spread of a highly addictive drug, commonly known as "ripcord."
In order to crack down on such crimes, a new organization has been formed within the Sakurada Police Department.
The Special Investigations Division brings together members with free ideas and skills in different fields, and its name is ``Sidekicks.''
Chika, who has outstanding motor skills, Hibari, a psychological profiler who is skilled with words, Shishiba, a silent genius hacker, Riko, who is good at instantaneous memory, and Tatewaki, the leader who unites the four of them.
The Special Investigations Division has begun to attract the attention of the city with its unconventional investigative methods.
One day, the main character, Inori, is scouted as a new member of the Sidekicks.
A special ability unique to her...it was the ability to have mysterious prophetic dreams.

Since the original version of "Side Kicks!" released in 2017, we have refined the graphics, sound, and system, and updated the UI and production. This work is a universe work that shares a world view with the text adventure game "BUSTAFELLOWS", which has sold over 150,000 copies worldwide. “Side Kicks! beyond” also includes a crossover episode featuring characters from “BUSTAFELLOWS”. Teuta and his friends come from the east coast town "New Seag" to the west coast town "Sagrada" and develop friendly friendships with the Sidekicks members, but they get caught up in an incident and find themselves in a relationship between the "police" and the "suspect"...! ?
